More Joy

The pile of mail was daunting, there are more magazines this time of year than we can ever manage and each are full of beautiful temptations.

As I passed over the throw away pile one magazine caught my eye…it had a photo of a happy family at a banquet table and it said

“Bring More Joy to the Table”

I thought it read

“Bring More THAN Joy to the Table”

Funny how one word can make such a difference.  As I got ready for work I chewed on those sentences……..

“Bring More Joy to the Table”

More Joy – More of the same, Increase, Multiply

“Bring More THAN Joy to the Table”

More THAN Joy – Something Different, In Addition to, On Top of, Maybe better than

This is a good time of year to ask ourselves…..how many of us want More “than” what we have instead of more of what we have?
